The goal of Friends for Dinner is to connect local families with international students in order to show them Canadian hospitality and build friendships. It is an initiative taken by local churches and Christians ministries. The first campaign of Friends for Dinner was started in Ottawa during the Christmas season of 2012.
Friends for Dinner is running in Ottawa, Montreal, Sherbrooke, Saskatoon, Kamloops and Vancouver. Friends for Dinner is constantly working to partner with local churches and ministries in order to expand this friendship program to more places. For more information, visit the Friends for Dinner website.
We recognize that all people have questions, but very few spaces exist to have open, honest, and respectful discourse around the deepest questions humans ask.
DIG & DELVE is an annual conference in Ottawa that is all about giving people a safe space to engage in discussion and explore deep issues that humans have been wrestling with for a long time. At At DIG & DELVE, we gather talented experts in their fields to come and share their opinions about deep issues human wrestle with and together we discuss some of the latest research around these questions. Spur Ottawa strives to tell the story of the broader Body of Christ in the Ottawa region. Our goal is to promote unity and foster collaboration by telling stories that will “spur believers on” to exalt Christ and pursue His kingdom together. God is at work in our city! By sharing the stories of what He is doing and how His people are serving, we hope to encourage the Body, help connect like-minded individuals, and advance the work of the gospel.
Our prayer is that Spur Ottawa will be an outlet to help you fulfill the words of Hebrews 10:24, “let us consider how to spur one another on to love and to good works.”

Wouldn’t it be great if every street and every house in Ottawa was prayed for?

The Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast is one of 50 or more city prayer breakfasts held annually across the country. At the breakfast, we honour and pray for our Mayor, City Councillors and First Responders.
We celebrate under the banner “Who is my neighbour?” because the Scriptures suggest that we love our neighbour as ourselves. (Mark 12:31) The Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast is a celebration of unity and a rich opportunity to declare that Christians are alive and well and responsive to the leading of the Spirit of God. For more information, visit the Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast website.
The Big Give is a group of volunteers who passionately believe that kindness and generosity are an integral part of our faith. Every year, we mobilize churches across Ottawa to extravagantly bless their neighbourhoods through a unified day of radical giving where everything is free.
