People of faith in Christ are exhorted and encouraged to pray and be thankful for all in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness. (1 Tim. 2:1,2) God has promised to bless our City if we, His people, will pray and seek His face. (2 Chron. 7:14) The Lord encourages citizens to pray for the well-being and love the City in which they live.
